The Nuts and Bolts of Things

Well, I am officially a cosmetology school graduate! Yahoo!! My hubby was able to be there for my graduation and walk me up to the stage in his oh so sexy dress blues. ;) I am back in England now and spent a cozy Christmas with my husband. After such a short time being back, I have to go back to the States in January for most of the month...State Board exams are calling (boo!)...and so is LA!!! I am honored and super excited to be a cosmetology nominee for the Nuts and Bolts Program Business Student of the Year 2010! :D I will be going to Cali at the end of January with a few other students and one of our instructors to the show and I am soooo excited! I've never been to the west coast and from what everyone has told me about it, I'll fall in love with it. In order to be a nominee, you had to make a video stating what you learned most from the program, how it applies to you, etc. My big sissy Steph filmed it and did the audio for it and then passed it to me for editing. Click here to watch the video! Do it! You know you wanna!

Also before I left I was able to do a few more super fun photo shoots! :D Thanks to my friends Emily and Candice from school for being my amazing models! I love you guys! So below is a little preview, but there are lots more to see! But you have to go to the gallery on the website to see the rest...mwuahahahahahaha!!!

Enjoy, and I wish you all a Happy New Year!

Can I get a "Woot! Woot!"

Once I again, it has been way too long since I have updated. But no more it shall be! Why We Wait Photography is being revamped, and if you can imagine, even MORE awesome than before. :) In 3 weeks I will be a graduate of the Eric Fisher Academy in Wichita, KS---the BEST SCHOOL EVER!!! For real, not even joking.

I just finished a really cool paint concept shoot with a girl from school that turned out AWESOME!!! (Thank you Vanessa, you ROCKED it!) You must go look at the site to see (and they're on Facebook as well). This Sunday will be a Ke$ha glitter 'Take It Off' inspired shoot, as well as some pretty kick butt black and white photos. I am freaking STOKED about it! I feel like I am finally coming out of this huge creative box. All these things I have wanted to do, I am now doing. For this shoot, I also did the hair and makeup for, so leave mad props yo. ;) Same will be for the glitter and B&W shoot (and every shoot for the next 3 or so until I go back to England in December.)

I cannot WAIT to be back with my hubby! He has been so amazing and supportive through my schooling and I have learned so much from all my teachers. You guys don't even know. I feel like I am so much more confident in my work, I can achieve more. I'm really hoping this will take me places in the world of fashion, as well as photography. I am absolutely 11010101001% passionate and in LOVE with what I do. I owe it all to EFA and my dear husband. Love you babe!

Here is just a picture from the shoot the other day, you'll have to go to the site to see the rest!! Stand by everyone, more amazing work to come next week!!! :)

Much needed update!

Wow. Talk about a slacker! Not sure that there are many of you who follow my blog anyways, so I guess its not a huge deal. A lot has happened since my last post, almost a year ago! We are still stationed in England. So far we have been to London, Edinburgh, Scotland; Belfast, Northern Ireland; and Dublin, Kohln, Germany; and Paris, France! I can't wait to travel more! Don't ask me to pick a favorite, because I don't think I can.

In February 2010, I came back to Wichita to attend the Cosmetology program at the Eric Fisher Academy (www.ericfisheracademy.com). Owned by of course, Eric Fisher. One of the greatest hair stylists EVER. Just sayin. :) I will be graduating and getting my license in November and soooo excited. Haven't done too many photo shoots at all in the last year and a half though. Makes me sad. :( But I am glad that I am going to school and finally getting my career going. It sucks of course, being away from my husband yet AGAIN. But I am almost done and cannot wait to be back home with him. :) Once I get back to England, I plan on attending the Sassoon Academy in London to further my education and career, and then closer to leaving England once I have more experience, taking a few 2 day classes the the Unite Eurotherapy Company in London. The owner is British, went to the Sassoon Academy and great friends with Eric Fisher. I will then have photography, hair, and makeup, and high fashion/runway training under my belt. I cannot wait to see where this takes me! I LOOOOOOOVE everything about what I am doing. :)

Oh, and, no baby Voshells yet. :( I will be sure to let you know.

I had uploaded and had ready lots of pictures of our travels ready for your viewing pleasure, but the blogger has decided to mess up the HTML codes and make all my work for nothing sooooo....guess you'll just have to come back and check here on the blog or on the site. They will be posted soon. :)
